Roommate charged with murder of USF doctoral students

Hisham Abugharbieh is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of University of South Florida doctoral students Zamil Limon and Nahida Bristy. His arrest followed a standoff with police after the students went missing. The Hillsborough County sheriff's office announced the charges on April 25, 2026.
