Virginia Joins Compact for National Popular Vote in Elections

Virginia has signed a national popular vote bill into law, joining 17 other states and the District of Columbia in an interstate compact. This compact aims to assign presidential electors to the winner of the national popular vote, now representing 222 electors towards the 270 needed for implementation.
