Rohingya refugee's death ruled a homicide after being abandoned
Authorities have ruled the death of Nurul Amin Shah, a 56-year-old Rohingya refugee, as a homicide. Shah, who was visually impaired, died on 24 February 2026, after US Border Patrol agents left him outside a Buffalo Tim Hortons without notifying his family or attorney during a cold winter night.
