New EU Travel Rules for Australians Start 10 April
From 10 April, Australians travelling to Europe will experience new border controls as the EU implements the entry/exit system (EES). This system replaces manual checks with biometric screening, including facial recognition and fingerprint scanning, for 29 countries. The changes come amid ongoing disruptions in global air travel due to conflicts in the Middle East.
