Mali Defence Minister Killed in Car Bomb Attack

Mali's defence minister, Sadio Camara, is killed in a car bomb attack at his home in Kati during coordinated assaults by insurgents, including an al-Qaida affiliate. Following the attack, which occurred on April 25, Camara succumbs to his injuries in hospital. The government announces two days of mourning for the minister.
