Louisiana Republicans seek to eliminate office of exonerated clerk
Calvin Duncan, who was exonerated after 28 years in prison, won 68% of the vote to become the Orleans parish clerk of criminal court. However, Louisiana's Republican governor Jeff Landry and the state legislature are moving to eliminate the office before Duncan can be sworn in.
