Study finds Earth's brightness rises 16% amid volatility
Earth's artificial brightness has increased by 16% from 2014 to 2022, according to a study by NASA-funded researchers at the University of Connecticut. However, the progression is volatile, influenced by factors such as Covid-19, light pollution regulations, and a faltering global economy. Researchers analysed over 1.1 million satellite images over nine years.
