Decline in Popularity of Flat-Faced Dog Breeds in the UK
Registrations of flat-faced dog breeds in the UK, including French bulldogs, bulldogs, and pugs, have significantly declined, according to the Royal Kennel Club. In the first quarter of 2026, French bulldog registrations fell by 37%, bulldogs by 34%, and pugs by 43%, with only 126 pugs registered.
