Australian Women and Children Leave Syrian Detention Camp for Damascus

Four Australian women and nine children have departed from al-Roj camp in north-east Syria, aiming to return to Australia. They are currently travelling by road to Damascus, which is under Syrian government control. The Albanese government has stated it is not assisting this group in their repatriation efforts.
